Lady Lions Kick off Thanksgiving Tournament with a Win

Friday evening, the Lady Lions traveled to Bethlehem Christian for their first game of their Thanksgiving Hoopfest! With a combined A and B team, the Lady Lions roster of 18 won 40-7, holding the home team scoreless after the first quarter. Seventh-grader Teagan Hicks made the best of her limited minutes with 14 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals. Catherine Rowland Williams added her own 6 points and 3 steals to the win. Aiden Penland, Skylar Pleasant, and Kate Chittaro pitched in 4 points each; Chittaro also had 5 steals. Jansyn Purdy had a pair of steals with her 2 points; fellow seventh-grader Brewer Brock also put the ball through the hoop for 2. Eighth-grader Julietta Tadeo scored a basket, and fifth-grader Wren Marcero was 100% from the line contributing 2 points of her own. 

Lakeview continues the tournament on Saturday with games at 10:30 AM and 3:30 PM.
