A-team Rolls On

Following the B-team's win on Friday, the A-team added their own against Lanier Christian. After last seeing the Lightning A-team in the Thanksgiving tournament, the Lady Lions hoped to once again control the narrative of Friday's game. While the Lions didn't put up as many points as in the November game, the defense still held the Lightning to single digits in a 32-6 win at home. In the first half, Teagan Hicks led the charge, scoring 5 of her 6 points and directing the offense. During the second half, the defense's intensity didn't let up as Kate Chittaro was able to turn rebounds and steals into 12 points. Catherine Rowland Williams (5 pts) and Skylar Pleasant (3 pts) pulled down significant rebounds while Jansyn Purdy, Brewer Brock, and Eli Poole each added 2 points. The Lightning could not seem to handle the swift transition of Lakeview's offense nor the high pressure brought by the defense.
