Tallulah Falls Overcome by a Solid Lady Lion Performance

Tuesday evening, the Lady Lions A-team traveled north to take on the Lady Indians of Tallulah Falls. Lakeview's Catherine Rowland Williams was successful at shutting down the Indians' leading scorer, holding her to 6 points, as they defeated Tallulah Falls 50-10. To add to the win, Williams also recorded a double-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 steals. The leading scorer for the Lady Lions was Teagan Hicks who scored 15 points on offense and contributed 7 steals on defense. Seventh-grader Aiden Penland was perfect from the line making all her free throws and adding a 3-pointer to the final score. Additional contributions came from Mary Evan Simpson (3 reb, 1 steal, 4 pts), Kate Chittaro (2 steals, 4 pts), Hallie Hudgins (4 pts), Eli Poole (2 steals, 4 pts), and Layla Young (2 reb, 1 steal). Jansyn Purdy and Brewer Brock provided notable defensive performances to limit the Lady Indians' offense.

The Lady Lions B-team will play on Monday at Valor Christian Academy before a combined A/B team participate in the Bethlehem Christian Thanksgiving Tournament next weekend.
